21. Brie
B rie woke slowly, groaning at her stiff muscles. She rolled onto her back and attempted to stretch, but her arms hit the bars of her cage and she jolted awake, remembering where she was.
Sleeping curled up in the cold room had left most of her bones aching. She stood, wrapping the blanket around her hips, and started doing some stretches and walking around the cage to get her blood flowing.
After she had been up for a few minutes the door opened, a different Darilian coming in with the leash in his hand. It still infuriated Brie to allow it, but there wasn't much she could do because she needed to go.
Standing by the door to the cage, he attached the leash and then led her out. After being walked to the bathroom and sitting through the embarrassment of having someone standing over her again, he handed her another bottle of water and nutrient pack before walking back to the cage and locking her inside.
Once again Brie was alone with nothing to occupy her except the thoughts running through her head.
She continued to do what exercises she could in the space, counting out the seconds to keep herself distracted. She was glad they had apparently turned the heat up since she wasn't as cold as when they had first brought her in. Either that, or she had adjusted to the temperature at last.
Eventually she ran out of things to do and was left sitting in the corner, unable to avoid her thoughts any longer. Brie didn't know what was going to happen to her, and the uncertainty bothered her the most.
Would the Alpha who won her claim and breed her when she went into heat, or would he just use and sell her, or pass her off to another?
Would she even survive what they would do to her after this?
She felt dizzy and nauseous at all of the possibilities that kept flashing through her mind.
Brie sat there for a little longer before the Darilian came back with the leash in his hand again. He threw something small and black at her once he reached the door of the cage.
"Put it on," he said to her.
She looked at it and realized it was a pair of black shorts like the ones they had cut off of her. Quickly standing, she slipped them on under the blanket she still had around her waist. Just having that simple piece of clothing covering her core made her feel a hundred times better.
The Darilian reached out his hand and motioned her to come closer with the leash held up in the other.
"I don't need to go again," Brie said, shaking her head and backing against the bars.
He made a sound of irritation and motioned to her again.
"Largo wants, you come."
She hesitated a moment longer before walking forward so he could snap the leash on. She wasn't sure if being taken from the cage would be a good thing, but Brie was sure she didn't have much of a choice.
